Zinnia & Dahlia Seeds

Starting your flower garden with seeds is an economical solution to covering a large space with flowers without breaking the bank. (so to speak) Last winter I ordered some Floret Flower zinnia, dahlia, and celosia seeds.  I have been an avid gardener my whole life (I am 58 now) but had never grown any of these flowers.  I started them 6 weeks before our last frost date, then planted them in a prepared bed. They all did so well!  I spent every morning, with my coffee, walking through my dahlia and zinnia patch.  I can tell you, that nothing in my life has brought me more joy than those little flowers did last summer.  They grew right through until our first killing frost and I got 14 weeks of absolute joy from all of those blooms. The dahlias were always the greatest surprise waiting for the first flower to bloom on each plant to see the colour and style of each bloom.  And watching the zinnias bloom and grow, became my most favourite area in the garden.

If you are looking for some special moments - and a little more happy in your life - you have  come to the right place. I saved seeds from my dahlia and zinnia patch to share with you. All of my seeds have been open/cross pollinated - What does open/cross pollination mean? It means that the bees and the butterflies have pollinated one flower with another - and the seeds, when grown may not exactly resemble the parent plants. Cross pollinating is how dahlia and zinnia breeders produce new types of dahlias and zinnias.
